    Description

Brunswick Balke Collender Conqueror antique pool table, fully restored. This is a nine foot pro (100" x 50" playing surface), convertible table, with three piece one inch slate. Patented 8/7/1928, production ending in 1931. Being a depression era table with a short production run, these tables are hard to come by. They are also one of the most sought after tables from the arts and crafts period. Complete convertible tables are more scarce yet. Convertible tables allow you to switch the rail tops between pocket and billiard. Complete with both sets of rails, along with the original rail storage box. Table parts have all matching numbers, original hardware, except for a few replaced screws.
Offering finer tables through a venue like EBay has a disadvantage. As some people prefer to make their own choices regarding cloth, pockets and cushions. So I am leaving that to the buyer. Table will be picked up or shipped, still in need of these items. The irons on a convertible table are not the standard #6. They will need to be sent in to be recovered. Hood leather is an excellent option.
History that I do have on this table; This table was picked up from a gentleman, whose father had purchased the table in the mid 50's. The table had remained set up, in the same room, since its time of purchase. I was told that it was purchased from another private party. I do not know how long that owner had the table, or if they were the original owners. The overwhelming majority of tables found today, spent most of their life in a pool hall. Finding their way into homes as they closed down. Often seeing a lot of abuse from the patrons. I have no way of knowing where this table spent its first 20 years, but evidence suggests it has always been a private table. Note in the last photo, look at the underside of the rail liner. There are very few tack or staple holes. This table has not seen many cloth changes. But most important was condition. This table was in exceptional (pre-restoration) condition.
I have this table listed for local pick up only. Other options may be available. Depending on distance, it is possible that I deliver this table, for a fee. This table can also be crated and shipped. I can crate and deliver to a local freight company. This would run around 0. Not a money maker for me, as I likely wont break even on pads and lumber. To be safe figure around 00 for freight. If you can get it for less, then it is less. You can source this on your own or I can assist you. Either way please don't make assumptions, if you are looking for anything other than local pick up, don't bid unless you have contacted me and discussed the alternatives. I welcome any requests to inspect this table in person. Nobody will be disappointed. A great opportunity to pick up this highly desirable antique billiards table, a first class restoration. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
